‘Attack on Titan’ is dropping its last manga chapter this April

Had a beautiful run

Almost 12 years since its 2009 debut, the iconic manga series ‘Attack on Titan’ has officially announced that it’s releasing its last volume this April.

ICYDK, the series follows a young man named Eren Yaeger who has devoted his life to defeating monstrous giant creatures called ‘Titans‘ plaguing (and literally eating up) his town.

The long-running manga’s end comes with some precedence, as its anime counterpart recently dropped its fourth and final season on Netflix last December 2020.

Meanwhile, the 34th and last volume will drop in the Bessatsu Shonen Magazine series for its April 9 release, with a final teaser visual showing Eren surrounded by a herd of Titans.

‘It’s been a very long time coming, but I hope you’ll stick with me until the end,’ series creator Hajime Isayama shared in a statement after the news broke out.

‘The editorial team never rushed me to finish the series, but I’ve been continually asked when will it end?’ Thank you for waiting for me. I will do my best until the last page so you will feel satisfied with what you’ve read.’

No, thank YOU Hajime
