The wait is over, the date for ‘Wicked’ has finally been revealed
Now we know when to move our schedules to see Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Michelle Yeoh together on screen.
‘Wicked‘ in the direction of ‘The Crazy Rich Asians‘ director Jon M. Chu is finally hitting the cinemas and earlier than expected at that, as initially, the film’s release was set to be in December of 2024.
Ariana just casually took to her Instagram to reveal the release date of the highly-anticipated big-screen adaptation of the Broadway hit.
The musical, led by Ariana and Cynthia Erivo who will be taking the roles of Glinda and Elphaba, who were portrayed on the stage by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, will be released in two parts, with the first part coming out on Thanksgiving weekend, November 27, 2024.

Other stars joining Ariana and Cynthia on the big screen are Oscar award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh sa Madame Morrible, ‘Bridgerton’ star Jonathan Bailey who will be playing the role of Fiyero, and Ethan Slater as Boq.
Meanwhile, director Jon M. Chu is also not closing his doors on the possibility of Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth making appearances in the film, he told Entertainment Tonight. Adding that the original cast has been nothing but supportive.
Ariana’s comments, on the other hand, have been flooded with support from her industry friends such as ‘Victorious’ cast-mate Elizabeth Gillies, Jennifer Coolidge who was in her ‘Thank u, next’ music video, and other celebrities like Katy Perry, Normani, and Gigi Hadid expressed their excitement for the project as well.
More surprises are expected to come from the cast and crew of ‘Wicked’ and the Internet is just so excited about what the project will soon reveal.
