‘Mortal sin’: Angel Locsin really regrets endorsing Koko Pimentel

Turns out, if there’s one thing that would unite Filipinos, it’s Koko Pimentel’s crucial misstep. The Filipino senator is under fire for entering the premises of Makati Medical Center despite being a person under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19.

The reckless act, which exposed the already-strained medical frontliners to the virus, has been denounced by both the hospital and the pvblic, regardless of political affliation. Included is Angel Locsin, who’s really apologetic for endorsing Pimentel in the past.

After taking a shot at Cat Arambulo Antonio’s infamous call-out to quarantine violators, Angel was asked by a fan if she regrets campaigning for Pimentel. The actress, not holding anything back, called it a ‘Mortal sin’.

‘Patawarin niyo po ako bilang ex husband po siya ng pinsan ko’.

When asked to swear that she wouldn’t do a repeat of her mistake, Angel clarified that she hasn’t done so in the recent elections. She even called out her younger self, replying ‘Eww’, to a screenshot of her past endorsement of the senator.

Given that she’s one of the most recognizable and active philanthropists in the country, letting Angel’s mistake slide isn’t a tall order. Besides, now more than ever, we need pvblic figures who have the gall to own up to their mistakes, instead of stubbornly denying them.
