Amber Heard’s face is the ‘most beautiful’ in the world, says science

When you hear the name ‘Amber Heard’ these days, one thing that would probably cross your mind is the defamation suit with her ex-husband Johnny Depp. Following the ongoing trial, a past study on how the actress holds the ‘most beautiful face in the world’ has resurfaced online.

Dr. Julian De Silva, a London-based facial cosmetic surgeon, analyzed Holly celebrities’ who had the most ‘perfect’ face back in 2016. He conducted it through the ‘Golden Ratio’, a mapping software that looks at the measurements of a person’s facial features.

De Silva explained that the Greeks used the said method, and discovered that ratio “occurs everywhere in nature”. He added, ‘The Phi ratio of 1.618 has long been thought to hold the secret for beauty, but now with the computer mapping we can calculate how it applies to real women.’

When De Silva mapped out the faces of prominent figures, Heard landed at the top. He explained that her “eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and 12 key marker points were analyzed” and it matched 91.85 percent of the Greek ratio of Phi.

While it’s been roughly six years since the study has been published, an entertainment page called It’s Gone Viral posted about it on Facebook. This caused online users to relate it to Heard and Depp’s current case, while some comments disagree with the used method.

The ongoing trial of the ex-spouses started when Depp sued Heard for defamation after a 2018 op-ed she published in the Washington Post. Heard wrote that she survived domestic violence, but didn’t mention Depp’s name. The actor is now suing her for $50 million in damages and denies being physically violent.

Meanwhile, Heard is countersuing for $100 million and claims she was only violent with Depp because of self-defense or defense of her younger sister.
