We might have to hold our feels once again, as Adele just shut down speculations that a new album is dropping this year.
The news came straight from the singer after a fan asked if her recent IG post was a teaser for the long-awaited fourth album, as it’s been almost 5 years since the release of her last album ‘25‘.
‘Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over,’ the singer quipped back.
‘I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient.’
Adele’s manager Jonathan Dickins also shared that the new music will ‘be ready when it’s ready’ as the pandemic halted the productions – and the world, at that.
‘We’re all in the same boat, you’re doing stuff and then all of a sudden, the world stops. It’ll come when it’s ready. I can’t put a date on that yet. We have music, but we’re still working.’
ICYDK, the English singer spontaneously announced during a friend’s wedding earlier this year that she was set to drop a new album this September.
Guess we’ll hear new music from the other side
