“Yeeeeeees! We know each other! He’s a friend from work!”
Can you believe the most hilarious line from “Thor: Ragnarok” wasn’t even in the original script?
Yes, that unexpected and witty line during Thor’s intense meeting with Hulk the gladiator wasn’t in the plan. Well, technically speaking, 95 percent of what went on in “Thor” was complete improvisation. Who knew Hemsworth can pull off comedy that well?
But we gotta admit that one line made such a blockbuster impact the minute the scene was released in the trailers. It even made it to a ton of memes and gifs on the web, and when it finally showed on the big screen, it was still. freaking. awesome.
Now just to let you folks know, that novel idea was made by a kid. Yup, you read that right! That kid had a lot of guts while visiting the movie set—not only was he confidently talking to the actors, he was brave enough to speak his mind.
“We had a young kid, a Make-A-Wish kid on set that day. In between the takes I was talking with him, kind-of going back and forth. And he goes, ‘You know, you should say, he’s a friend from work!’ So that young man actually came up with it,” Chris Hemsworth, God of Thunder-slash-Mr. Perfect Body, shared.
But Marvel taking cue from young fans isn’t such a big surprise either. Throughout the years, Marvel has been highly interactive and engaging towards the younger generation. They’re always trying to build immersive (and may we add, extremely unforgettable) experiences with kids.
It just turns out that this time, a young man was the real hero of this comedic and offbeat film.
