Maybe you’ve been ignoring the newest shopping complex in town, Ayala’s Vertis North. And you know what, that is a big mistake.
It is, after all, the only mall that has houses the sole Sebastian’s Ice Cream branch with a sit-down menu. Apart from their crazy flavors, its owner and creative chef Ian Carandang has created blockbuster desserts for all kinds of sweet tooth folks.
The Taho Milkshake tops our list. Sebastian’s is very generous with the ingredients that it uses. It has a whole block of Japanese silken tofu, a couple scoops sweet cream ice cream, sugar syrup aka arnibal, and sago. It’s got the perfect level of sweetness, and if you’re a fan of sago, you can always ask for more of it!
Cute but cloyingly sweet, the Birthday Cake Milkshake is made for kids who love frosting. It’s basically a liquefied version of everything we look forward to birthday cakes as children: lots and lots of icing, colorful sprinkles, and a heavy dollop of cream.
Just the name of the sundae, Chocopocalypse, is already intimidating on its own. It’s got sinful fudge, chewy brownies, cocoa-roasted almonds, and even cocoa whipped cream. The most delightful part of this sundae is the chocolate-covered cherry on top, of course. Make sure you share this with a fellow chocoholic!
They also have some sweet grilled sandwiches in store. The buttery toasts sandwich different kinds of fillings: chocolate, dulce de leche, Nutella, and Peanut Butter and Jelly. We paired their sandwiches with a Chocolate Ice Cream Cherry Coke Float and it was a good combination.
