Ride the wavy sound of Fil-Canadian hip-hop duo Cashwaveyboiz

We The Pvblic

Representing Montreal, Cashwaveyboiz are not what you’d expect. The duo of Kenny Richmond and Franky Dinero redefine the textures of the trap sound we’re accustomed to. Exploring a diverse number of themes in their lyricism, their Filipino heritage offers an authentic perspective on growing up Canadian.

Cashwaveyboiz play an important role in representing the 25,000 Filipinos in Montreal not just in music but in media in general. Now they are ready to be that bridge from Canada to the Philippines.

The duo blends elements from ‘90s R&B and raw hip-hop vocals, while mixing them with melodic beats. Being from the slums, as they would describe themselves, Cashwaveyboiz are prepping the release of their first official project called Waves. However, not without first giving us a sample of what’s to come.

On April 2, they’ve released their first official music video called “Last Night”. It shows Kenny and Franky video-recording a night in with their crew and getting things a little too wavy. With the assistance of Nicole on the hook, Cashwaveyboiz deliver dope vibes for an unpredictable night with an ending that will creep you out.
