The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has launched a manhunt for the 10 suspects who mauled an overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) on Saturday.

Based on the accounts of witnesses who regularly went to Perfect Spot, a bar and billiards hangout in Tomas Morato, the QCPD named four of the suspects.

The suspects had reportedly attacked 28-year-old Abigail Gino Basas at the parking lot on Scout Dr. Lazcano Street.

Frits Mohammed, Cyril Rada, Earl Grande, and a certain Jammel were among the four identified, with Mohammed being the primary suspect.

Inquirer mentions investigators received a tip that the college students were either from National University or the University of the East in Manila. Five of them were women.

Bouncers and waiters told police the group always caused trouble at their establishment.

“We received information that some of them had already changed their appearance by cutting their hair or shaving their head,” Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, QCPD director, said.

Closed-circuit television cameras showed how Basas was inside the billiards area at 2:44 am when he bumped into Mohammed.

Basas had walked away smiling, while Mohammed seemed irked and drunk. The latter then called for his companions and followed Basas to the lot where they ganged up on Basas and his two friends, Lloyd Melvin Lisondra and Marco de Leon.

Basas was hit numerous times until a blow to the chin sent him to the ground. De Leon mentions the suspects still kept attacking and kicking his friend both on his back and stomach.

Basas succumbed to hematoma, a solid swelling of clotted blood within the tissues.
