This isn’t computer animation.
Loving Vincent is “an investigation into the life and controversial death of Vincent Van Gogh, told by his paintings and by the characters that inhabit them.”
And it’s a film made entirely with oil paintings.
Amazing? It is.
Every frame is an oil painting in the style of Vincent Van Gogh.
It’s created by a team of trained oil painters under the direction of Polish painter and director Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman.
The film is going to be the first fully painted feature film in the world, adopting the style of Van Gogh in every frame.
It’s going to be be magniVincent.
