Usually, you check in your important stuff and extra luggage when you’re about to take off. And for this guy, this can of beer is his utmost priority.
Dean Stinson, the man behind the can of beer, came up with the idea with a friend as a little joke.
The can did arrive as the first item on the baggage carousel at Perth Airport where it was tagged and unopened after its four-hour journey from Melbourne.
The airline, Qantas, said it did not encourage other travellers to follow suit.
“This guy’s done it and he’s won the internet for the day, so we’re happy to move on,” a Qantas airline spokesman said to BBC.
Luckily, the airline doesn’t charge an additional fee for checked baggage. “And it was in perfect condition,” Stinson told AFP news agency.
