Liza Soberano speaks out on Las Vegas shooting

Liza Soberano is a lot of things but for us, she’s one of the stars using her voice to shed light on today’s current events — like the mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Soberano posted a photo of the iconic signage of Las Vegas, with a thoughtful message on the tragic shooting which left 59 people dead, 527 others injured.

Here’s what the actress said:

I cant stop thinking about the terrible crime committed in Las Vegas the other day. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this incident. I have so many questions in my mind. One of the many being why anyone is allowed to even purchase that many firearms. We can not judge how responsible one person can be with a gun based on their criminal background, all criminals started with a clean slate. Remember prevention is always better than cure. Second i've been watching so many videos saying that it isnt a terrorist attack, but mind you if you look up on google the meaning of terrorist you will get "a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians in the pursuit of political claims." Now i don't have much knowledge on the background of the shooter if he was actually into politics or not but i think its a bit unfair to claim that this incident is in fact not a terrorist attack just because the suspect isn't of color. Thats all i have to say. I hope and pray that one day we can all spread enough love to go around for everyone that way all this violence can be stopped.

Although one tried to counter Liza in the comment section, the actress kept on and gave a sensible reply.

A lone gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on a crowd of more than 22,000 at a concert in Las Vegas.

It’s one of the deadliest mass shootings ever in the United States. The suspect, Stephen Paddock, 64, was reportedly believed to have killed himself in his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
