It’s okay to quit

Justin Bieber has recently cancelled the rest of the Purpose Tour.

This 23 year old Canadian singer has stepped foot on almost every country in the world at this point, and he can only handle so much. Some fans were heartbroken by the news, and had to refund their tickets.

People had different opinions on this, but we’re just going to say the least: you don’t have to say sorry, Biebs. It’s okay.

“When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going,” singer John Mayer wrote on Twitter. “We’ve lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin two thumbs up for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.”

Whatever the reason – exhaustion, creative burnout, or a new calling, is certainly beyond our control. Artists and celebrities are not slot machines that can be fed with money to function or puppets you can pull the strings of each limb of.

Neither are you.

If you are feeling the same, ditch the S word. Nothing’s ever too late to do. Quit that thing that has been putting a tight rope around your neck, that one thing that’s been creating a hole in your chest. Let that go and don’t say a thing.

Remember, “You should, too.”
