Glee actor Mark Salling pleads guilty to child porn charges

Glee actor Mark Salling played Noah Puckerman, a fan favorite on the hit show. Salling has pleaded guilty to child porn charges, with federal prosecutors finding more than 50,000 images and videos of child porn and erotica on his laptop.

Some victims were as young as 3 to 5 years old.

The actor will serve between four and seven years in jail after pleading guilty to the charges related to his 2015 arrest, which could’ve been 20 years behind bars.

As a result of his plea deal which was signed on Tuesday, which is still to be approved by a federal judge, Salling will be required to register as a sex offender and has agreed to pay over $50,000 to each victim who shall submit a formal restitution request.

The Glee actor will also spend 20 years under supervised release, with his internet use being monitored and controlled.

Salling admitted to using software to mask his IP address, downloading thousands of images of child pornography, which authorities found in 2015 after a tip reportedly from a woman shown the content on “multiple” occasions.

Deadline reports Salling stated he is “pleading guilty because I am guilty of the charges.”
