Carousell Philippines introduces #Girlboss Programme to inspire female entrepreneurs to own their future

Girls definitely do it better! Not just in style, but also being the #Girlboss in their lives.

In partnership with Bloggers United 2018, Carousell Philippines launched the Carousell #Girlboss Programme – a series of workshops and sharing sessions to inspire female entrepreneurs own their futures.

“Online selling empowers women from all walks of life to earn and take charge. On Carousell, 75% of our users in the Philippines are female. With this programme, we hope to empower them with the entrepreneurial mindset and skills to sell better.” said Marita Galvez, Marketing Manager Carousell Philippines.

#Girlbosses take the stage

Blogger and entrepreneur, Kryz Uy <kryzzzie> headlined the event, sharing her personal journey and challenges when starting her brand February Lifestyle.

“The first and hardest step of entrepreneurship is to start. When I first started, I had many self-doubts but I’m glad I took the leap of faith. Carousell is a great platform for aspiring #Girlbosses to take the first step as it makes selling easy and accessible to everyone – even as a source of side income,” said Kryz.

Top Carouseller Tere Arigo also shared her experience starting her vintage clothing label <teeforeal>. What started as a hobby with a group of close friends turned into a successful business that generates up to PHP 50,000 a month.

“When you find the right community of people, the rest comes naturally. I started Teeforeal as I had a passion for sustainable fashion. By selling on Carousell, I’ve connected with many like-minded women who’ve helped me grow my brand and community,” said Tere.

Connecting the  #Girlboss Community

Carousell recently launched Discussions, a new feature within Carousell Groups. Users can discuss, connect, and share stories with like-minded individuals. Users can join the #Girlboss Group on Carousell to connect with female entrepreneurs like Kryz Uy, Janina Manipol and many more.
