Millions of people all over the world gathered to catch a rare lunar trifecta which is a combination of a total eclipse with a blue moon and super moon. It happened for the first time in 35 years.
A super moon is a full or new moon which occurs when it’s 90 percent closest to Earth while a blue moon is the second full moon of the month. A total lunar eclipse came into play to make way for a beautiful night sky with a Super Blue Blood Moon.
In anticipation, people all over the world readied their cameras and took shots of the moon and we’ve loved every single one. Here are a few of our favorites:

LOOK: #SuperBlueBloodMoon as seen from Makati City tonight. While the Moon is in the Earth’s shadow it will take on a reddish tint, known as a "blood moon." The super blue blood moon was last observed in the Philippines on 30 December 1982. | via @bobreyes pic.twitter.com/aOz6SZmrFV

A Super Blue Blood Moon sets over Cohasset Harbor on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018. This is an exceedingly rare event because a blue moon, a total lunar eclipse, and a supermoon are occurring all at the same time. #SuperBlueBloodMoon #cohasset #bloodmoon2018 pic.twitter.com/ZPtQOWVT0a
