Travel is essential to your becoming a well-rounded human being. From time to time, you need to escape from the mind-numbing routine of your everyday life to give your mind the reboot that it deserves. Aside from enabling you to support local economies, traveling also broadens your perspective by seeing and experiencing first-hand how other people live outside your own bubble. Fulfilling your travel goals gives you a sense of accomplishment. Plus, you become less of a stranger to your own country.

If you deal with stress by over-eating, smoking or drinking, replace these habits with healthy stress busters like exercising, playing music instruments or taking long walks.

If it’s your hobby to trade spiteful words with trolls on social media, take the high road by starting and encouraging civil and intelligent discussions.

The #MeToo movement has exposed and brought down creeps who, for years, have been getting away with their sexual offences. You, too, can take an active part in a movement that contributes to societal progress. It could be the movement for the protection of women and children, the HIV/AIDs awareness movement, or the fight against the normalization of lying and the proliferation of fake news.

Are you ready to have a legendary year?
