‘Wonder’ offers a wise quote for you to live by

I’ve always liked how movies incorporate their title in the film one way or another. They’ll either let you feel it throughout the film, or they’ll subtly mention it. “Wonder” did wonders in both ways.

“Wonder” follows the story of August “Auggie” Pullman who starts his first day in an actual school after being homeschooled by his mother. Jacob Tremblay’s Auggie was born with a rare genetic condition that makes him appear a bit different than other 10-year-olds. He does the same things as others in his age bracket, but he isn’t seen as ordinary.

But you aren’t meant to fit in when you were born to stand out.

Throughout the film, we’ll see a lot of Chewbacca references which Star Wars fans will love, outer space references, and the issue of bullying others who’re perceived as different.

But you’ll see a change of heart in each and every one of the characters, seeing how one’s effect on others can make a big impact.

There’s a quote in the film that stuck with me: “When given the choice between being right or being kind, always choose kind.”

Always choose kind, no matter what. Learn to use that in your everyday life and you’ll wake up a better person each and every day.
