It’s been two decades since Nintendo players go around with their Pokéballs trying to catch the rarest Pokémons indicated in their Pokédex.
Now, Nintendo and the Pokémon company are set to make gamers go from “gotta catch ’em all” to “gotta buy ’em all” with the newest Pokémon-themed consoles.
Imagine playing the lastest Pokémon games in this console that is ultimately made for battle, making you the ultimate trainer out there.
The Nintendo 2DS XL will have two new faces: One is Pokéball inspired, donning a 3D red and white interface, while the other has the cheeky yellow electric mouse—yup, the most popular pocket monster of them all, Pikachu.
It’s exactly like the previous 2DS model that came before it, except these Pokémon systems will also have an 83 percent larger screen and right stick navigation. Of course, the adapter and stylus are part of your game goodies.
The Pokémon consoles are seen to sell out quickly, or maybe have its prices insanely jacked up by resellers. The most current model, Nintendo 3DS sells for under P20,000 on Lazada, while the limited edition Nintendo 2DS Special Pikachu Edition is currently priced at P18,305 on the same website.
The game consoles will hit the shelves on Nov. 3, and we really hope this collector’s edition will be available outside Japan—because, dammit, Japan always gets the good stuff!
