On Valentine’s Day, Dua Lipa stopped by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge for a set of live performances to promote her upcoming tour.
Looking stylish in a yellow pullover, striped jogger pants and heels, she effortlessly sang “New Rules,” the hit song that has generated over one billion views on YouTube making her the youngest female artist to hit one billion views on a music video.
Of course, she celebrated this record-breaking feat and expressed her excitement on Instagram by posting this:
Back to her Live Lounge performance – as for the song she needed to cover, she made the clever decision to take on The Arctic Monkey’s hit “Do I Wanna Know?” but stripped it down into a stirring piano ballad to highlight her sultry and soulful vocals and emphasize the song’s melancholic lyrics. The result – it’s beautifully enthralling!

But, wait! She’s not quite done yet with breaking records. She’s just made history by receiving the most nominations in a single year for a female solo artist at this year’s BRIT Awards. She’s nominated for British Solo Female Artist, British Artist Video of the Year, British Breakthrough Act, British Single and Mastercard British Album of the Year.
The 38th BRIT Awards will happen today, February 21, at The O2 Arena in London.
We send our love and wish you the best of luck, Dua!
