Ru Paul’s Drag Race contestant Aquaria came to snatch edges with her pride week drag look
She starts her look by plucking her eyebrows, which only takes her around five seconds… because her eyebrows are already shaved.
Aquaria then follows the standard full-coverage drag base, starting with a “really fierce” primer, following it with foundation, contour, highlighting.
Don’t forget to highlight the end of the nose, to get that extra “pooch”, and setting with powder to make sure the look lasts.
Throughout the video, Aquaria talks about her influences as a drag queen, from the New York City Club scenes, her time as a student in the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and pop star icons like Lady Gaga and Madonna.
Aquaria’s pride look is inspired by Christina Aguilera’s Lady Marmalade, meeting a giant flower patch.
17 years later, and that look is still iconic.
The look also features a mix of blue, pink and yellow around the eyes from her derby palette, and pulled eyeliner at the inner corner of the eyes.
Other features of Aquaria’s a lip balm to prep the lips for lipstick, finished by a pink-red glossy lip.
“Don’t be kissing no boys and no girls with a crusty mouth.”
Aquaria finishes her look with some setting spray, a blonde wig and her red, pink and white outfit.
