With the arrival of 2018, listeners are turning to music to help them achieve their best-looking selves. With more than 25 million workout playlists created by music fans all over the world, Spotify shares the top tracks and trends to kick your fitness regime into higher gear.
To jump-start the New Year with a dedicated workout plan, Spotify’s listening data reveals that streaming of workout playlists increased right after January 1 and reaches its peak around January 24. After that, the number of workout playlists streamed levels off on February 14. So if you’re looking to buck the trend, keep pedaling/running/squatting past Valentine’s Day! Here are some playlists to keep you moving: Fantastic K-Pop Workout, Beast Mode, and Motivation Mix.
If you want to try something new this 2018, why not go for the less traditional trending workouts? Aqua cycling playlists jumped to 86% in the last year, while brew yoga playlists (yes, yoga practiced in breweries) went up 137%. In fact, music for an entirely new workout also entered the ring—goat yoga (yes, yoga practiced with a pygmy goat on your back).
